SARATOGA WOODS JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Update February 2012:

There are a limited number of openings for NEW lifeguards for the 2012 swim season.


Qualifications for Lifeguards:

  • 16 years of age or older
  • Current Lifeguard Certification (Red Cross or YMCA)
    • Lifeguard Training
    • First Aid
    • CPR
Positions available:
April to mid-May: 11am to 8pm (on weekends)
Mid-August to mid-September: 3:30 to 7pm (weekdays)
September to the beginning of October: 11am to 8pm (on weekends)

New hires will also be asked to attend bi-weekly lifeguard meetings in the summer, and may substitute in June-August when veteran guards are unable to cover their shifts. All interested individuals should complete the online application. Applications are due by March 16th, 2012. Qualified applicants will be contacted and interviews will be held on March 24th.

If you have not yet completed a lifeguard training course, CSC (Sunnyvale) and the JCC (Los Gatos) have courses in March.

  • 15 years of age or older
  • Current Lifeguard Certification (Red Cross or YMCA)
    • Lifeguard Training
    • First Aid
    • CPR
  • Experience swimming and/or teaching the four competitive strokes
Position available:  
Coach Weekdays from: 3:45 PM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 AM in the summer. Saturday 7:30 AM to 2 PM (for meets and championship).
Asst. Coach To help with 8 and under; weekdays from: 3:45 PM to 5:15 PM.
